News 4 : Plastic Goods Prices to Rise 60% as War Impacts Polymer

Preliminary Facts (For Mains Answer Introduction)

  • Price Shock: Plastic product prices are expected to rise by 50-60% from April 2026 if the West Asia crisis continues to impact supply of key raw materials, primarily crude oil and natural gas. Polymer prices, derived from these feedstocks, have already increased by 50-60% in recent days .
